I’m Chuck Hixson and I don’t like to work. So, I do something I am passionate about and call it “work” so that people think I have a “job.” I love baseball. I have covered high school baseball, college baseball, semi-pro baseball, minor league baseball, and major league baseball.

When I say “covered” I mean in sports radio and in publications. When I say publications, I mean local weekly newspapers that still publish the local high school honor roll to larger local papers to national papers like USA Today. I have worked for FOX Sports, CBS Sports, and others. I have operated my own baseball website since 2003. I have broadcast games on traditional radio and internet radio.

Now, I’m on Substack. Why? Because I’m not only passionate about baseball and love to write and talk about it, but I know the game. I have knowledge to pass along. I also have some stories to tell. Oh, and I wouldn’t mind making a few bucks doing that.
